Chicago Wolves News Release
The Chicago Wolves are celebrating St. Patrick's Day by wearing commemorative jerseys, presented by Jewel-Osco, to raise money for Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago and Chicago Wolves Charities.
The Wolves will wear specially designed green jerseys for their home games on Wednesday, March 14, Saturday, March 24, and Sunday, March 25. The jerseys will be available via auction and raffle during the games as part of the team's 16th St. Patrick's Day fundraiser.
Easter Seals, the primary beneficiary, is dedicated to helping people with disabilities and special needs -- and their families -- live better lives. The Wolves have raised nearly $500,000 for Chicago area charities, including Easter Seals, with the St. Patrick's Day jerseys.
Right wing MARK MANCARI, the team's leading scorer, serves as the point man for this endeavor. He'll wear a different jersey in each of the three games and they'll be available via raffle, silent auction, and online auction.
"I am very proud to be a part of this charity event to help bring awareness to autism and other disabilities that so many people in our communities live with," MANCARI said.
Wolves forwards BYRON BITZ, VICTOR ORESKOVICH, and STEFAN SCHNEIDER will join MANCARI in having their jerseys available through in-game raffles. The jersey worn by forward MIKE DUCO will be available via blind auction. Fans can win all of the other limited edition jerseys during the silent auction that begins on March 14 in Allstate Arena's Southeast Lobby and closes at the end of the second intermission on March 25.
MANCARI will have his final jersey available in a chicagowolves.com auction that begins March 26 and runs through April 6.
