Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat open a four-game road trip in Texas tonight with their seventh game of the season against the Houston Aeros. The nine-day journey sees four games - all against Texas foes - with two games against the Aeros, and one each against the San Antonio Rampage and the Texas Stars.

The Western Conference standings see the Heat with 70 points through 62 games - a point back of home ice in the playoffs, but just one point up on the final playoff spot. The Aeros have struggled in the New Year and find themselves on the outside of the playoff picture with 68 points; just two back of Abbotsford.

The Heat arrive in Houston after a six-game home stand that saw the club acquire five points in the first four games, but drop their final pair to the Peoria Rivermen. The Heat have enjoyed a fruitful season series with the Aeros thus far, having earned 11 of a possible 12 points this season, with a pair left of their eight regular season clashes.

The road trip opens with a Tuesday affair with the Houston Aeros at the Toyota Center that starts at 5:05 PST. The game broadcast can be heard on Country 107.1 FM beginning at 5:00, while the 15-minute pre-game show beginning at 4:45 can be heard on theAHL.com.
