Austin Ice Bats News Release

(Austin, TX) - Due to one of his fellow All-Stars being recalled to the American Hockey League, Jason Tessier will be placed in the starting lineup for the CHL's All Star Game on January 16th in Broomfield, Colorado.

Tessier has been the Ice Bats top defenseman this year ranking fourth on the team with 20 points (8 goals, 12 assists). His eight goals on the year rank him 10th among the CHL's defensemen in goals scored as well.

The St. Jerome, Quebec native recorded a four point game earlier this year against New Mexico when he scored a power play goal, a shorthanded goal, and two assists back on October 26th.

Wednesday will be the fourth All-Star appearance of Tessier's CHL career. He also serves as the team's Assistant Captain.

The Ice Bats are the AA Affiliate for the NHL's Minnesota Wild and the AHL's Houston Aeros (AAA). The team is currently playing its 12th season in Austin. Single game tickets and mini-plans are available by calling 512-927-7825 or visiting icebats.com.
