Schlemko to Replace Sullivan in CHL All-Star Game

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League today announced that rookie defenseman David Schlemko will replace Sean Sullivan in the 2008 CHL All-Star Game in Broomfield, Colo. on Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Sullivan, who is on recall with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage and will not appear in the All-Star Game on Wednesday, was voted as a starter in the mid-season showcase by the league's head coaches and members of the media in each market.

Schlemko, 20, has appeared in 34 games with Arizona this season and has collected seven goals, 18 assists and 14 penalty minutes. He is a plus-3 rating through the first half of the season. The all-star appearance will be the Edmonton, Alberta's first as a professional.

Austin's Jason Tessier will replace Sullivan as the starter for Wednesday's All-Star Game.

The 2008 CHL All-Star Game will be broadcast live on the Official Broadcast Home of the Arizona Sundogs, 96.7 FM The Wolf, beginning at 7:00pm. Tune into the CHL Network to see the game live.
