
Terry Vaughn joins the Alouettes

Montreal, Apr. 28, 2005 - Montreal Alouettes Vice-President and General Manager Jim Popp is pleased to announce the organization acquired All-Star receiver Terry Vaughn and the Edmonton Eskimos' sixth-round draft pick in today's draft (receiver Adam Eckert) for free safety William Loftus.
« Terry Vaughn is a receiver who can have a direct impact on the outcome of a game, » said Jim Popp. « This is an excellent acquisition for our offence and for our entire team. »
Vaughn (5'8'', 175 lbs.) will begin his eleventh season in the CFL. He was selected on his division's All-Star team in eight consecutive seasons (1996-2003) and on the CFL All-Star team in 1998, 2001 and 2002. In 2001, he led the CFL in receptions and receiving yards. He also holds the CFL record with ten seasons of at least 1000 receiving yards.
