Their first clash with the Silvertips went swimmingly for Everett, as the Tips scored a franchise-record three shorthanded goals in a 6-2 rout. The Giants are led by 18-year-old Ty Halaburda, who has recorded two goals and four assists in his last four games.

Game notes: Everett picked up their first win of the season series in dramatic fashion in their last meeting with the Winterhawks, as the Tips rallied from down 3-0 to win 6-3. Teague Patton scored a natural hat trick, while Austin Roest netted the eventual game-winner in the third period. Portland has dropped four consecutive games, struggling while dealing with injuries to netminder Jan Špunar and back-up Luke Brunen.
