Tampa Bay Lightning Recall Slater Koekkoek from Syracuse Crunch

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled defenseman Slater Koekkoek from the Syracuse Crunch, Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.

Koekkoek, 22, has skated in 48 games with the Crunch this season, posting five goals and 13 points to go along with 22 penalty minutes. He is tied for second among Syracuse defensemen for goals. Koekkeok has played in four games with the Lightning this season. His last appearance came on February 20 at Pittsburgh where he logged 9:27 of ice time.

The native of Winchester, Ontario was originally selected by Tampa Bay in the first round, 10th overall, at the 2012 NHL Draft.
