BUFFALO, NY - Behind a go-ahead eighth-inning blast by LJ Talley, the Buffalo Bisons defeated the Worcester Red Sox 5-3 on Saturday night from Sahlen Field.

Bowden Francis threw two shutout innings to begin the ballgame, punching out four while walking one, and left the game with the Herd up 2-0.

Otto López picked up right where he left off last night, singling and scoring in the first before an RBI groundout by Logan Warmoth scored Jordan Groshans in the second.

After Brandon Eisert threw a shutout third, Andrew Vasquez entered in the fourth but allowed three runs over 0.2 innings to put Worcester out in front 3-2. Ronaldo Hernández picked up a pair of RBIs on a bases loaded, two-out single, while Johan Mieses scored on a fielder's choice.

A leadoff single by López in the eighth, followed by an infield single that was beat out by a hustling Gabriel Moreno, set the stage for LJ Talley's go-ahead home run: Talley took Eduard Bazardo deep to the opposite field to give the Bisons a 5-3 lead heading into the ninth, his second long ball of the season.

Connor Seabold started for the WooSox and went four innings allowing two runs off four hits with four K's, before Jake Thompson entered and gave up just one hit over two scoreless frames.

Foster Griffin, Eric Yardley, Mike Ellenbest, and Matt Peacock combined to throw 4.1 innings of shutout ball for the Bisons, before Jeremy Beasley came on in the ninth and closed things out to secure the comeback victory.

The Bisons and WooSox will conclude this six-game series tomorrow afternoon, with Casey Lawrence set to toe the rubber at 1:05 p.m. EST.
