RABBIT TALES
The Greenville Swamp Rabbits (20-33-6-1), proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, prepare for the Orlando Solar Bears (29-26-5-1) in the team's final contest of a four-game week. The Swamp Rabbits are 4-3-0-0 against the Solar Bears this season but fell last night by a score of 7-1. Today's afternoon game at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena begins at 3 p.m. with puck drop. This is also the final meeting between Greenville and Orlando in the Upstate this season. The Swamp Rabbits will make one final trip to Orlando on Mar. 31 to wrap up their nine-game season series.
J.UST IN T.IME
Forward J.T. Henke tallied his second career goal last night, the second straight game that the rookie has recorded a goal. Henke opened the scoring on both Friday and Saturday night, his first pro points scored in five games with Greenville. The center joined the Swamp Rabbits roster on Feb. 28 from Lake Superior State University after notching 79 points (29, 50A) in three seasons with the Lakers. The Trenton, Michigan native provided 29 goals for the Lakers in three collegiate seasons.
LEADING LINE
Greenville's leading scorer Evan Jasper leads the club with 44 points (18G, 26A) in 55 games this season and ranks seventh in the league among rookies. The 5-foot-10 winger has recorded six points (2G, 4A) in his last three games. Jasper has combined with Joe Basaraba and Dawson Leedahl for 13 points (4G, 9A) in the last four games.
THE BIG 250
Joe Basaraba played his 250th professional game last night with 228 contests in the ECHL and 22 additional AHL games. The fourth-year pro has produced 151 points (63G, 88A) in the ECHL with stints in Cincinnati, Idaho, and now in Greenville. Basaraba has been one of Greenville's most consistent players this season, missing only one game this year and recording 42 points (16G, 26A) and leads the club against Orlando with 10 points (3G, 7A) against the Solar Bears. The Fort Frances, Ontario native was selected in the third round of the 2010 NHL Draft by the Florida Panthers just before beginning his four-year career at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. The 2011 NCAA National Champion captained his alma mater during his senior season.

Solar Bears forward Max Novak leads Orlando in scoring against Greenville with nine points (3G, 6A) in seven outings. The Oak Ridge, New Jersey native returned from a brief AHL stint with the Toronto Marlies last night and earned a goal and an assist.
