Sutton Special Risk to Present Hockey Hall of Fame Display at CCM/ECHL Hockey Heritage Week

December 2, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Wednesday that Sutton Special Risk will be the presenting sponsor of the Hockey Hall of Fame Display as part of the CCM/ECHL Hockey Heritage Week in Kalamazoo, Michigan during the Feb. 5-6, 2016 games between the Toledo Walleye and Kalamazoo Wings. Additionally, the exhibit will also be featured during the Kalamazoo Optimist Hockey Association tournament at the Wings Event Center, featuring over 300 youth players from the Kalamazoo region.

The travelling exhibit housed out of Toronto, Ontario, will feature artifacts from the depths of the Hockey Hall of Fame, with a focus on the long history of hockey in the state of Michigan, the ECHL, stars of the NHL and the origins of the game. Additionally, several of hockey's most prestigious trophies will be on hand from the Hockey Hall of Fame, as well as exciting interactive hockey games for children, allowing Kalamazoo players to participate with young fans during select times throughout the event.

"With the rich tradition of hockey in the city of Kalamazoo and the state of Michigan, the ECHL is thrilled to bring the Hockey Hall of Fame to our fans through the support of Sutton Special Risk," said Ryan Crelin, Senior Vice President of the ECHL. "These artifact exhibits, trophies, and games are the center piece for this event, as we celebrate the tradition of our great game."

"Sutton has provided specialized insurance solutions to professional athletes and teams for over 37 years and we are proud to have the ECHL as our client", said Greg Sutton, President and CEO of Sutton Special Risk. "We are once again excited to help celebrate this great game and its longstanding history and tradition in the city of Kalamazoo and the state of Michigan. We look forward to the 2016 CCM/ECHL Hockey Heritage Week."
