Hagerstown Suns News Release

Salisbury, MD - The opening game of a four-game set between the Hagerstown Suns and the Delmarva Shorebirds was postponed due to inclement weather on Thursday at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury.

The two teams will make up the game as part of a double-header on Sunday, May 20 (the final day of the series) with a double header beginning at 12:35 PM. There will be two seven-inning games played with the second game starting approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

Thursday's rainout is the fifth Hagerstown has experience in 2018, but the first rainout on the road. The Suns have been able to play makeup games within the same series as the rainout all but once, with April 15th's game being rescheduled for May 26 as a double header against Greensboro.

The Suns will conclude this series with Delmarva and head to Lakewood for the last leg of this road trip. Hagerstown will play the BlueClaws at FirstEnergy Park for the first time this season, with four games before coming back to Hagerstown for a home stand where the Suns will play eight games in seven days.
