
Zimmermann Solid Once Again in 1-0 Rome Win

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves edged the Asheville Tourists Thursday evening at State Mutual Stadium 1-0 before a crowd of 1,840 fans.
The only run of the game came in the fifth when Jean Carlos Encarnacion (3) took the first pitch deep over the left field wall giving Rome a 1-0 lead. The story of the night was Bruce Zimmermann who went seven shutout innings allowing two hits, walking one, and striking out nine.
Zimmermann (1-1) gets the win while Brandon White goes the final two frames to get his sixth save. The Tourists' Antonio Santos (0-5) gets the loss.
