HAGERSTOWN, MD - Aaron Seuss drove in six runs on three hits including a sixth inning grand slam to blast the West Virginia Power 12-3 on Friday Night at Municipal Stadium.

Seuss' grand slam is his second home run this season and first at home. Seuss also added two doubles on the night.

On the mound, Jeff Mandel (2-1) only allowed one run over six innings and struck out four.

The Suns scoring started early as Bill Rhinehart connected for a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning. Rhinehart finished the night with three runs and three RBI.

Four straight Suns hits in the bottom of the third drove in three runs off the bats of Seuss and Michael Burgess.

West Virginia starter Evan Anundsen (2-3) took the loss as he gave up four runs over three innings of work. Pedro Lambertus came on in relief and gave up six runs of his own.

Seuss' grand slam came after a base hit from Fransisco Plascencia, and back-to-back walks by Dan Lyons and Rhinehart.

The Power scored their last two runs on an RBI single by Ulrich Snijders to score Brent Brewer and a RBI ground out to bring in Snijders.

Edulin Abreu tossed the final three innings to pick up his first save.

The Suns will start a four game series against the Greensboro Grasshoppers on Saturday, May 3rd, but before the series can officially begin, the two teams need to finish a game that was suspended due to rain on April 27th at Greensboro. The game was suspended with the score tied 2-2 after five innings, and will start in the top of the sixth with the Suns hitting.

Start time for the suspended game is at 5:35 P.M., and the official first game of the series will start 30 minutes after the suspended game is concluded. Gates will open at Municipal Stadium at 4:35 P.M.
