
Rome Makes Roster Move

Rome, GA - Third baseman Samuel Sime has been sent to extended spring training in Orlando the Rome Braves announce today. Sime was hitting .139 in 23 games this season.
Joining the Rome club is infielder Jonathan Gilmer. He was the Atlanta Braves selection in the compensation round of the 2007 June free agent draft (33rd overall). Last season in the Gulf Coast League, Gilmer hit .284 with one homer and 29 RBI.
The Braves conclude their series tonight at State Mutual Stadium against the Greenville Drive, an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. The team hits the road for an eight game road trip before returning home on May 12th. For ticket information call 706-378-5144 or log on to www.romebraves.com.
