Kannapolis Cannon Ballers News Release
Lakewood, NJ - Logan Johnson crushed a 1-1 offering from Joseph Rocchio over the
right field wall in the eighth inning to break a 2-2 tie with Lakewood at
FirstEnergy Park as the Intimidators held on for a 3-2 win.
Johnson's home run was his fourth of the season and he added a RBI double in the
first inning for a 2-for-4 night with a run scored and two runs driven in.
Kannapolis nearly gave the game away in the ninth up 3-2. Henry Mabee was in to pick
up the save and with the bases loaded and one out he induced a game ending double
play off the bat of Dennis Winn to preserve the victory.
The Intimidators split the series with Lakewood two games apiece. The nine-game roadtrip continues for Kannapolis. The Intimidators open up tomorrow night in Lake County against the Captains at 7:05pm.
