Hickory, NC:After a two hour and fifty minute rain delay to start Thursday's game, the Suns grabbed the lead 5-2 after five innings. However, for the third time on this road trip they let a lead of three or more slip away. Hickory scored four runs over the final four innings to win, 6-5. The Suns ended their eight game road trip 5-3.

Hagerstown (23-12) got a solo homer from Rafael Arroyo, his fourth homer in five games, and got three RBI's from Derran Watts to forge ahead 5-2 after five. RHP Jose Sanchez left with a three run lead after five, but the bullpen couldn't hold Hickory (15-19) down. It would have been Sanchez's seventh win in seven tries. Kevin Mannix (0-3) got the loss after giving up two runs in the eighth and the winning run in the ninth.

The game marked the first time Hagerstown did not have at least 10 hits in a game in their last 11 ballgames. Dante Brinkley extended his on base streak to 32 straight games with a walk.

The Suns come back home to face the Greensboro Grasshoppers for a four game homestand on Friday at 6:35pm on US Cellular Fireworks and Career and College Fair Night. For tickets call the Suns at 301-791-6266.
