Sand Gnats to host annual Education Day Wednesday, May 18

SAVANNAH, Ga. â The Savannah Sand Gnats will host thousands of elementary students for the team's annual Education Day Wednesday, May 18, 2005. Sponsored by S.U.D.I.A. (Southeast United Dairy Industrial Association) and WSAV 3, the game versus the Greenville Bombers, has a special starting time of 10:05 a.m.
This special game is in honor of third and fifth graders from across the Coastal Empire for their successful completion of the state-mandated CRCT tests and the 2004-05 school year. All third and fifth graders receive free admission. Other grades are invited to attend for $3.
Special $3 ballpark meal deals will be available for the third and fifth grade students. The meals include a hot dog, bag of chips and a soft drink. The meals are available to all others for $6.
