JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Biscuits (54-56) loaded the bases in the ninth but could not score, and the Jacksonville Suns (56-54) held on to win 4-2 Thursday at the Baseball Grounds, taking four of five from the Biscuits.

The Biscuits went 1-9 with runners in scoring position and stranded ten total. Dating back to Wednesday night, they've stranded 17 with a 2-19 performance in men in scoring position.

John Shelby started the ninth with a walk. Matt Sweeney ripped a pinch-hit single down the right field line after Craig Albernaz struck out. Sandy Rosario (22) struck out Shawn O'Malley for the second out, and after Tim Beckham walked to pack the bases, Cole Figueroa popped the first pitch up to short left to end the game.

The Biscuits had left the bases loaded two innings earlier as well.

The Suns got two runs in the second and two in the sixth against Nick Barnese (6-5) to go up 4-1. A Figueroa (above) solo homer in the eighth brought the game to its final margin.

Jacksonville starter Dallas Trahern (4-3) held the Biscuits hitless through four, and finished the night allowing only one run on five hits over 6.2.

Figueroa and Kyeong Kang led the Biscuits offense with two hits apiece.

The Biscuits will return home to take on the Mobile BayBears at Riverwalk Friday at 7:05. Jim Paduch will oppose Mobile's Tyler Skaggs.
