(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that they have signed forward Chris Blight and defenseman Gerry Burke.

Burke will be heading into his first professional season after spending four years at Brown University. "Gerry is already a solid defenseman with very good potential," said Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Nick Vitucci. "He will translate well to our level." In his four-year career at Brown, Gerry totaled 6 goals, 15 assists, and 135 penalty minutes. Gerry appeared in three preseason games while a member of Peoria's (American Hockey League) camp.

Blight, also a rookie, comes to the Storm after a four-year career at Clarkson University. During those four years, Chris tallied 40 goals with 56 assists. Nick talked about Blight, "Chris is a skilled offensive player with good size. He could really surprise people." Chris was a member of Rochester's (AHL) camp this year.
