
Cloutier back with Ice Pilots

Pensacola, Fla. - The 2004-2005 Brabham Cup Champion Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that goalie Frederic Cloutier has been assigned to the Ice Pilots from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
Cloutier, who stands 6' and weighs 180 pounds, played in 48 regular season games last season with the Ice Pilots posting a record of 32-12-3 with a 2.37 goals against average and .928 save percentage and also played in all four Kelly Cup Playoff games posting a record of 1-3 with a 2.69 goals against average and .909 save percentage.
Cloutier was tied for first in the league last year with 32 wins, third in the league with 1,417 saves and tied for second with 5 shutouts. He was runner-up in the voting for ECHL Goaltender of the Year and was named Second Team All ECHL.
During his rookie season in 2001-2002, Cloutier played in 36 games for Louisiana in the ECHL posting a record of 28-5-3 with a 1.84 goals against average and .945 save percentage. He was named the ECHL MVP, Rookie of the Year, Goaltender of the Year and was named First Team All ECHL and also made the All Rookie Team.
Cloutier has also played in the American Hockey League with Houston and in the QMJHL with Shawinigan and Acadie-Bathurst. He is 24 years old and is from St. Honore DeBeauce, Quebec and catches right.
"Frederic is going to be a big plus with our hockey team as he is one of the premier goaltenders in the ECHL," said Ice Pilots President Mario Forgione. "He had an outstanding season with the Ice Pilots last year and we expect the same from him this year as while."
"Frederic's resume speaks for itself. He is a former MVP of the league and his work ethic is second to none," said Ice Pilots Head Coach Rick Adduono. "We feel confident with a goalie like Frederic's abilities and look to have an outstanding season with him in goal."
The Ice Pilots will begin training camp this Sunday at the Pensacola Civic Center at 10:00 a.m. The Ice Pilots will play two preseason games on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 vs. Gwinnett at 7:05 p.m. Prices of tickets are $11 for lower level seats and $6 for upper level seats.
Season tickets for the Ice Pilots 2005-2006 season are on sale. Prices for all 36 home games for floor and glass seats are $678.96, side seats are $489.60, goal seats and lower upper seats are $443.52 and upper seats cost $356.40.
