
Bombers ready to begin camp

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Bombers of the ECHL will open training camp this weekend when players report for physicals at 7:00 AM Friday morning. Players will skate at the Ervin J. Nutter Center Friday from 10:00-11:30 AM, Saturday from 1:15-2:30 PM, and Sunday at 8:00 AM. The team will also practice Monday morning at 8:00 AM before leaving for two exhibition games in Anchorage, Alaska.
The Bombers will likely open camp with (2) goaltenders including Mike Ayers and Gregg Naumenko, (7) defenseman including Alex Johnstone, Bryan Nathe, Tyler Scott, Tyson Teplitsky, Bryan Lewis, Alexander Sertov and Christoff Rosenberg, and (13) forwards including Jeff Szwez, Brett Nowak, Scott Cameron, Matt Herneisen, Steve Dix, Mike Nelson, Geoff Platt, A.J. MacLean, Kris MacPhee, Joey Grasso, Justin Laverdiere, Kyle Musselman and Cody Doucette.
Nine players from the 2004-2005 Dayton Bombers (Ayers, Johnstone, Nathe, Scott, Szwez, Nowak, Cameron, Herneisen and Dix) will return for camp this season. Last season, Ayers was named the Bombers Rookie of the Year.
Players will also attend the annual Open House and Select-A-Seat Reception at the Nutter Center Thursday evening from 5:30-7:30 PM. Sports fans are invited to meet Managing Partners Don MacAdam and Costa Papista and visit with their favorite players. New and perspective season ticket holders will also have a chance to select their seats for the upcoming 15th Anniversary season.
