April 9, 2019 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
PAPILLION, NE - The Omaha Storm Chasers continue to fill in more details for "Omaha Potholes Night", which is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24 at Werner Park.
The organization has contacted 14 Omaha Metro public works departments, including the cities of Papillion, Omaha, La Vista, Bellevue, Council Bluffs, Blair, and Bennington, in addition to the Sarpy County Public Works Department, and invited those employees to attend "Omaha Potholes Night" on April 24 as a thank you for their hard work working in snow and ice during winter, and now repairing roads in the spring, to ensure the public's safety.
Storm Chasers players and coaches will wear special batting practice gear featuring the Omaha Potholes name and logo prior to that evening's game. That gear will be autographed and auctioned off during the game, with all of the proceeds going to Chasers Charities to repair local little league fields with City of Bellevue Recreation and DC West Youth Sports damaged by historic floods this spring. A limited amount of Omaha Potholes jerseys will also be available exclusively at Werner Park on April 24 for $50, with 100% of net proceeds going to Chasers charities for flood relief.
The first 1,000 fans to enter Werner Park that evening will receive a free "Spare Tire" courtesy of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. In addition, special concessions items will be available at Werner Park for purchase, including Rocky Road Ice Cream with fans given shovels to use as spoons, as well as "Pothole Philly" Sandwiches featuring pot roast. Ale Storm beer will also be renamed Pothole Chasers Ale for the contest.
Omaha Potholes gear, including caps and shirts, is now available for pre-order through the Storm Front Team Store, with 20 percent of proceeds going to Chasers Charities to repair damaged fields in the Omaha Metro affected by historic flooding. Gear can be pre-ordered online here: http://bit.ly/2UelE8S.
Fans may also directly donate to Chasers Charities at http://www.chaserscharities.org.
Tickets for that evening's contest are still available and can be purchased at this link: http://bit.ly/2UnBkWB.
The Storm Chasers begin their home slate for the 2019 season this evening against the Oklahoma City Dodgers. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm CT.
Single-game tickets for all 70 Storm Chasers home contests can be purchased online at www.omahastormchasers.com, or by calling the Werner Park Ticket Office from noon until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at (402) 738-5100.
