From the Notes

There's History Here: The all-time series between the Nashville Sounds and Round Rock Express has been fairly even since it started in 2005. Nashville is 111-114 against Round Rock, including a 6-10 record in 2018 when Round Rock was the Triple-A affiliate of the Rangers.

White Hot: Eli White is the lone hitter that has hit safely in all five games for the Sounds in 2019. White is 6-for-16 (.375) with 3 runs, 2 RBI, 2 doubles, 1 triple, 4 walks and 1 stolen base. In addition to collecting at least one hit in five straight games, White has also drawn a walk in four straight games and carries a .524 on-base percentage into tonight's game.

Keep 'Em in the Yard: In Round Rock's season-opening five-game series against the New Orleans Baby Cakes, they scored 23 runs and hit 14 home runs. A resounding 20 of the 23 runs scored (87%) by the Express were accounted for via the home run. Yordan Alvarez leads Round Rock with 4 home runs and Derek Fisher has 3. That duo alone has more home runs than 10 Pacific Coast League teams.

Three Again for Ibáñez: Nashville infielder Andy Ibáñez joined the Sounds a couple days into the season after beginning campaign back in Arizona due to an oblique injury. In his first two games, Ibáñez has back-to-back three-hit games and his hitting .750 (6-for-8) early on. He has 1 run, 2 RBI, 2 doubles and 1 walk.

Double Up: Nashville collected a season-high five doubles in last night's 6-5 loss to Iowa. Eli White, Jose Trevino, Andy Ibáñez, Matt Davidson and Danny Santana all had doubles.

RISP Struggles: Despite Nashville out-hitting Iowa 12-9 last night, a large part of the loss was due to not being able to collect a big hit. Nashville left 12 runners on base and went 3-for-16 with runners in scoring position. Through the first five games of the season, the Sounds are hitting .180 (11-for-61) with RISP, 15th overall in the Pacific Coast League.
