South Carolina Stingrays News Release

This week the South Carolina Stingrays wrapped up their regular-season series with the Cincinnati Cyclones for a week record of 1-1-0. On Friday, the Stingrays welcomed the Cyclones to North Charleston Coliseum for the first time in regular season team history. The Stingrays controlled the first period, outshooting Cincinnati nine to two, but it was the Cyclones that eventually found the twine and skated away with a 4-2 victory. Stingrays defenseman Jay Cascalenda scored his first professional goal and rookie Trevor Bruess capitalized on the power play in the loss. The two teams squared off again on Sunday with the Stingrays getting the upper hand 6-2. Rookie Rob Ricci recorded his first professional hat trick, defenseman Nick Klaren netted his first multiple-point game (3a) and goaltender Todd Ford earned his 100 ECHL victory.
