Atlanta Gladiators News Release
Streakers: Two Gladiators have three-game point streaks: defenseman Drew Paris has four assists in his past three games, while forward Scott Mifsud has a goal and two assists in his last three. Three Gladiators have four-game point streaks: defenseman Mike Mclean has two goals and two assists in his past four games; forward Tom Zanoski has three goals and four assists in his last four games; and Adam Berti has a goal and five assists in his last four. Tim Miller has a career-best six-game point streak with three goals and 5 assists since a February 24th game at Kalamazoo.
Leader: Forward Matt Francis leads all Gladiators skaters with 10 points on seven goals and three assists in the past seven games.
A Little Berti: Forward Adam Berti used a 5-point weekend to increase his point total to 49 and eclipse his previous career best of 46 points in a season. He also leads all Gladiators skaters in the point column for the season.
Blueliners: All-Star Drew Paris leads all rookie defensemen with 37 points, while teammate and fellow All-Star Sam Roberts is second with 36.
Sin Bin: The Gladiators have served 51 penalty minutes in the past three games compared to their opponents' 85.
Special Teams: The Gladiators continue to own the league's best road power play, scoring 38 times in 158 chances, good for 24.1 percent. The Gladiators also own the league's second best road penalty kill unit, killing off 142 of 166 opponent power plays away from home.
Last of 3: The Gladiators are unbeaten (4-0-1-1) in the third game of three-game series this season.
Weekend Warriors: The Gladiators are 17-9-3-1 in games on Saturdays and Sundays.
.500: The Gladiators dropped to.500 for the first time since the second game of the season with Friday's 7-5 loss to Florida but promptly climbed back over.500 with Saturday's 4-3 victory over the Everblades.
5 for Fighting: Forward Dan Sullivan recorded his first fighting major in 16 games just five seconds into Friday night's contest against the Florida Everblades.

- March 4, Florida 4, Gwinnett 3 - L
Florida's Matt Duffy gave the Everblades a 1-0 lead midway through the opening period, but the Gladiators scored three straight goals off the sticks of Matt Francis, Dan Sullivan, and Mike McLean to take a 3-1 lead into the final period. Florida then scored three goals in the final period and held the Gladiators off the board to rally for a 4-3 South Division victory. Gwinnett finished 0-for-4 on the power play, and Danny Taylor made 28 saves in net.
- March 5, Florida 7, Gwinnett 5 - L
Gwinnett's Mike Miller opened the scoring 5:00 into the opening period, and the Gladiators took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission. Florida then outscored the Gladiators 3-1 in the second, taking a 4-3 lead into the final period. The Everblades scored 2:42 into the third to go up by two, but Scott Mifsud scored less than five minutes later to cut the lead in half. The Everblades then scored two more, including Donnie Osman's third goal of the night to take a 7-4 lead, and Tom Zanoski added one more for the Gladiators with 14 seconds left in regulation, as the Gladiators fell to the Everblades for the second time in as many nights.
- March 6, Gwinnett 4, Florida 3 - W
The Everblades jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period, but Matt Francis, Tom Zanoski, and Dan Sullivan each scored in the same period to give the Gladiators a 3-2 lead after 20 minutes. The second period was scoreless, and the Everblades scored just 47 seconds into the third period to knot the game at three. Matt Francis then scored his third goal in three nights at 5:32 of the period, and the Gladiators held on down the stretch for the 4-3 South Division victory. Danny Taylor made 28 saves for the win, and the Gladiators went 3-for-9 on the power play.

The Gladiators return to the Arena at Gwinnett Center for the first time in over two weeks to face North Division-leading Cincinnati Cyclones on Monday night before heading back out on the road for a three-game set at the Charlotte Checkers Thursday and Saturday nights with a Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m. Following this weekend's games, the Gladiators play eight of their final nine regular season games on home ice.
This Week's Practice Schedule: Practices at the IceForum in Duluth are open to the general public. Arena at Gwinnett Center practices are not open to the general public. Media members wishing to attend practice at the Arena should contact the Gladiators PR staff at 770-497-5106 to facilitate building access.
The Gladiators continue their 7th season in the ECHL Monday, March 8th vs. Cincinnati at 7:05 p.m. The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and Columbus Blue Jackets and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
