The South Carolina Stingrays closed their regular-season home schedule on Friday at North Charleston Coliseum falling to the Reading Royals 4-2 for a week record of 0-1-0. Stingrays defenseman Johann Kroll netted his third goal of the season and forward Nikita Kashirsky buried a power-play marker after returning to the lineup for the first time since January 17. Forward Trent Campbell earned an assist to push his assist streak to four games and goaltender Shane Connelly stopped 16 of 19 Royals shots.

Stingrays rookie forward Jake Hauswirth stands 15 on the ECHL rookie chart with 17 goals and 27 assists for 44 points. Forward Rob Ricci ranks 10 among ECHL rookies with 48 points (24g, 24a).

Stingrays forward Trent Campbell is currently on a four-game assist streak with four assists.

Goaltender Todd Ford ranks fourth among ECHL goalies with an 18-7-2 record, a 2.79 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage. Goalie Shane Connelly sits in 15 with a 15-14-7 record, a 3.22 GAA and a .890 save percentage.
