Final Trading Card Giveaway on Friday, SpongeBob Squarepants appears Saturday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, are in the final week of the 2009-2010 season. The first-place Condors are just one point away from clinching a berth to the 2010 Kelly Cup Playoffs. They can do so on Tuesday for the annual Blood Drive Night, when the Condors host the Stockton Thunder. Over the weekend, the Condors look to secure the Pacific Division title when the Idaho Steelheads come to Condorstown. Friday is Trading Card Collectors Set Giveaway #5 and on Saturday, SpongeBob Squarepants will make an appearance. All three games begin at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. These games are expected to have HUGE crowds, so be sure to buy your tickets early.

Tuesday marks the conclusion of Blood Drive Month, presented by My 45 and KUZZ 107.9. All fans who donated blood this month at Houchin Blood Bank received $1 admission to the evening's game. Houchin Blood Bank, located on 5901 Truxtun Avenue and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. urs on Thursday until 8 p.m.

On Friday the Condors host Trading Card Collectors Set Giveaway #5, presented by 29 Eyewitness News, Hot Hits 93.1 and Farmers Insurance. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive the final set of Condors trading cards, including Marty Raymond, C MacGregor Sharp, G J.P. Levasseur, F Gino Guyer, RW Nick Kemp and Baby Cal. If you you're looking to complete your collection with sets 1-4, they can be purchased at the Condors Team Store, located on Truxtun Avenue, across from Rabobank Arena or at the arena concourse merchandise stands at Condors games.

Plus, it's Mercy & Memorial Hospitals, Wells Fargo Bank & Diamond Technologies T.H.I.N.K. Night. The Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge program allows students to earn terrace tickets to the game through exceptional performance at school. Also, all season ticket holders are invited to the Flashco Boardroom for a Meet the Team Party following the game.

On Saturday, don't miss the final game of the regular season as Bright House Networks & 101.5 KGFM present Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants.Bring the kids and come out to enjoy nautical nonsense with SpongeBob Squarepants. Fans will have the chance to take pictures with SpongeBob at the photo booth, throughout the game.

Saturday also marks Bright House Networks Family Night. BHN subscribers receive $7.00 admission per person by presenting their cable bill or envelope at the Rabobank Arena Box Office. It is also the final Bright House Networks, Bakersfield Californian, & Wells Fargo Condors Kids Club Night. All club members receive free terrace level admission by presenting their Kids Club badge at the box office. The final regular season game is also the final Big Buddies Night. Underprivileged children and military personnel will be given the opportunity to attend a Condors game for free thanks to local organizations.

Following every game, Condors players will be at the Bakersfield Marriott Autograph Booth, located on the arena concourse behind section 108. F Mark Voakes and F Stephane Goulet will be at the booth on Tuesday, RW Nick Kemp and F Gino Guyer will be signing on Friday and G Timo Pielmeier and LW Dan Kissel will be available on Saturday. The players will arrive at the booth approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game to meet fans and sign autographs.

Season ticket renewals are now available and include seats to the 2011 ECHL All-Star Game, hosted by the Condors. Renew by paying in full or signing up for AutoPay by March 31, and receive free food and drink vouchers for the 2010 Kelly Cup Playoffs, plus a special Condors gift. To purchase or renew your season tickets, call 324-PUCK (7825). Full Season tickets holders, Tuesday and Friday are your last chances to take part in the Never-A-Wasted Ticket Program. Bring your unused season tickets to the Rabobank Arena box office and exchange them for one-for-one to either Tuesday or Friday's contest. Be sure to arrive early to avoid the lines.
