Utah Grizzlies News Release

The Grizzlies ran their unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-0-1) and their record to 6-3-2-0 in their last eleven contests by taking five of six possible points from the Bakersfield Condors this past week at the E-Center. Utah put up 18 goals in the three games to run their overall season record to 32-28-4-5. Utah has guaranteed themselves a winning season and their fourth season of.500 or better in the last five years.

Playoff Schedule

The Grizzlies will clinch a playoff berth essentially with a combination of their next win and Ontario's next loss. The playoffs will likely begin a week from today. However, with the National Conference Standings still a logjam, Utah will likely not know their opponent and exact schedule until early Sunday morning when the ECHL season completes with Stockton and Alaska who will face-off at 9:15 p.m. from Anchorage.

Goal Scoring Machine

The Grizzlies have scored four or more goals in ten of their last eleven games and five goals or more in eight of their last eleven games. Utah enters the week fourth in the league in goal-scoring, averaging 3.56 goals-per-game.

Individual Goal Scoring

The Grizzlies have had an individual player record two goals in a game in nine of their last eleven games with Ryan Kinasewich scoring two goals four times during the stretch.

50s and 100s

Ryan Kinasewich enters the week with 45 goals, 52 assists and 97 points in 56 games as he looks to lead the ECHL in goals for the second time in five years.

Ten-Gamer

Dylan Hunter enters the week with three goals and 12 assists in his last ten games. The ten-game scoring streak is currently the third-longest active one in the ECHL.

4-0

Rookie Goaltender Mikko Koskinen improved to 4-0 with Utah following two wins last week. The Grizzlies have given him more than enough offensive support, tallying 25 goals in his four starts.

Who's Hot In The National Conference?

Entering the final week of the season, only Idaho and Alaska have been more effective in the last ten games than the Utah Grizzlies. Idaho has clinched home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs and a first-round playoff bye.
