
Salmon Kings' Ellington Re-Assigned To Moose

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that defenseman Taylor Ellington has been re-assigned to the Moose by Vancouver of the National Hockey League (NHL).
The Victoria, BC native will join the Moose for his third stint in Manitoba this season, after previously being re-assigned by the Canucks on November 27th and January 8th. In 13 total games with the Moose this year Ellington has recorded two assists and seven penalty minutes.
The 21-year-old defender has participated in 47 games with the Salmon Kings this season tallying 14 points (3g-11a) while serving 49 minutes in penalties. Ellington was also selected as one of two Victoria representatives at this year's 2010 ECHL All-Star Game in Ontario, CA.
For his professional career, Ellington has played in 61 games, registering four goals and 13 assists for 17 points, to go along with 56 penalty minutes.
Ellington is second-round draft pick (33rd overall) of the Canucks in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
The Salmon Kings' roster now sits at 23 players (15 forwards, 6 defenseman, and 2 goaltenders).
Victoria now returns home to host the Utah Grizzlies on Wednesday, March 31st, Friday, April 2nd, and Saturday, April 3rd for the final series of the 2009-10 regular season. Puck drop for all three games is at 7:05 p.m. at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Next Saturday's home contest versus the Grizzlies is "Sellout Saturday".
