
Everblades Clinch Playoff Berth This Week

Florida Everblades News Release
The Florida Everblades clinched a Kelly Cup Playoff berth this week with their win on Thursday night in Charlotte, 4-3. The 'Blades dropped a decision to Charlotte on Tuesday night, 6-2. The two games would be the final two games in 'Blades history played in Charlotte. The Checkers are becoming the Everblades primary affiliate next season as they move to the American Hockey League and will be the triple-A affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Everblades finish up their 12th regular season in Southwest Florida this weekend on April 2 and 3 versus division-leading Charlotte. Friday and Saturday night is Fan Appreciation Weekend in Germain Arena. Fans will be rewarded with prizes and gifts throughout the two games. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. for both games.

GAME NOTES: The Florida Everblades suffered the worst loss of the season against the Charlotte Checkers, 6-2. Forward Andrew Carroll potted a hat trick and added an assist as the Checkers held the Everblades to just 23 shots for the contest. Florida's Mike Bayrack chipped in a goal and an assist in a losing effort.
Thursday, March 25 @ Charlotte Time Warner Cable Arena 7:00PM
GAME NOTES: The Florida Everblades clinched a playoff berth with their 4-3 victory against the Checkers in their final regular-season meeting ever in Charlotte. Forward Brady Calla supplied a "Gordie Howe Hat Trick" scoring a goal and an assist and two fights. The Everblades fired a season-high 53 shots in the victory. Chris Beckford-Tseu stopped 36 shots to record his 18th victory of the season.
Saturday, March 27 @ Gwinnett The Arena at Gwinnett Center 7:05PM
GAME NOTES: Three third period goals powered the Gwinnett Gladiators past the Florida Everblades at the Arena at the Gwinnett Center, 4-2. The Everblades tallies came off the sticks of Dominic Osman (19) and Shea Guthrie (18, PP). Pat Galivan, Matt Caruana and Matt Francis recorded the third period tallies to pace Gwinnett to victory keeping their slim playoff chances alive.
Sunday, March 28 @ Gwinnett The Arena at Gwinnett Center 4:05PM
GAME NOTES: The Florida Everblades beat the Gwinnett Gladiators 6-2 on Sunday afternoon, claiming their 8th victory in the 14-game season series. Brandon Buck (2g, 1a) and Ross Carlson (2g) scored four of the 'Blades six tallies. The Everblades finished with an impressive 8-4-2 record against Gwinnett in the regular season.

GAME NOTES: The Florida Everblades and Charlotte Checkers meet for the sixth time in Germain Arena and 13th time overall in the regular season. The 'Blades have posted a 2-3-0 mark at home against the Checkers and a 6-5-1 record overall. These are the final two regular-season meetings ever between the clubs in Germain Arena.

GAME NOTES: 10 Everblades scored a point or more in the Everblades playoff clinching win in their last outing against Charlotte. Despite appearing in just seven games against Charlotte this season, Milan Gajic has four goals and seven points to lead the Everblades. Gajic is followed by ECHL All Star rookie Brandon Buck who has four goals and six points in six games played.
