Stingrays Game Preview: Stingrays Celebrate Cool Ray's Birth

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays close a three-game in three-day home weekend and celebrate Kid's Day and Mascot Mania against the Greenville Road Warriors today at 3:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum. Today is the 14 of 16 meetings between the two teams this season.

Mascots from around the Lowcountry will be at the game to celebrate Cool Ray's birthday including Bucky from Charleston Southern University, Clyde from the College of Charleston, Blackbeard of Blackbeard's Cove, Andy Armadillo from Texas Roadhouse, First Federal's Filbert the Squirrel, Monkey Joe from Monkey Joe's, Time Out Teddy of Exchange Club of South Carolina and Rowdy from the Road Warriors!

All kid's tickets are $5 at the Coliseum Box Office as well as $5 kid's meals at the concession stands! Bring your ice skates for a postgame skate with the entire team! Pattison's Academy for Comprehensive Education students, teachers and families will join the Stingrays on the ice for the skate.

Series at a Glance:

The Stingrays hold an 8-3-0-2 record against their in-state rivals with three games remaining in the head-to-head series. The two sides collided last Sunday, March 16 in Greenville with the Stingrays prevailing 2-1. Forward Peter Boyd leads the Stingrays against the Road Warriors with 16 points (six goals, 10 assists) and is currently on a five-game point streak with two goals and five assists for seven points.

The Stingrays continue a five-game homestand on Friday, March 28 on Family Four Pack Friday against the Ft. Wayne Komets at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum! Grab four tickets, four hotdogs, four sodas and large popcorn for $55 at the Coliseum Box Office! College and military tickets are $5 at the Box Office with ID!
