For the second straight day the Kalamazoo Wings will lace up their skates versus the Fort Wayne Komets. Kalamazoo lost in a shootout to Fort Wayne last night by the final of 4-3. The K-Wings lead the season series with a record of 9-3-0-1, which includes a record of 6-1-0-0 at Wings Stadium.
The K-Wings enter this afternoon trying to avoid their longest winless streak of the season. Kalamazoo has gone winless in back-to-back games five times this season. With 82 points, the K-Wings are tied for second place in the Eastern Conference and are one point behind the idle Reading Royals.
Last night's shootout victory was a huge victory for Fort Wayne. Winners of two straight, the Komets now have 71 points and are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, two points ahead of the Florida Everblades. Today starts a three-game road swing for Fort Wayne.

Colin Makes Debut
Today will be the K-Wings debut of Colin, an 11-year old boy from Richland, Michigan, who has become an internet sensation. On Tuesday, Colin signed a one-day contract to be part of his hometown team.

Forwards Matt Caria and Justin Taylor enter this evening looking to extend streaks. Caria is on an ECHL season-high 17-game home point streak, while Taylor is on a 14-game home point streak.
Rolling Along
Forwards Nick Sirota and David Pacan have been heating up offensively. Sirota has earned points in five straight games, while Pacan is on a four-game point streak.
Closing in on a Milestone
Defenseman Dustin Cloutier nearing a personal milestone, Cloutier, who is on a three-game point streak, needs one more point to reach 100 in his career.
