
Stingrays End Three Game Series vs. Gladiators on a High Note

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The Stingrays completed a three-game series against the Florida Everblades at Germain Arena for a week record of 2-1-0-0. On Wednesday, the Stingrays erased two one-goal deficits, but fell to the Everblades 3-2. Keith Johnson and Matt Scherer picked up goals in the loss. The Rays evened the series Friday by the same score, 3-2, with goals from Trent Campbell, Matt Fornataro and Gregg Johnson. Nikita Kashirsky pushed his point streak to a season-high five games. South Carolina took the three game series 2-1 Saturday night with another 3-2 victory. Gregg Johnson and Rob Ricci netted goals and Matt Fornataro converted on a penalty shot for the game-winner. This week the Stingrays travel north to face the Wheeling Nailers on Friday and the Reading Royals Saturday and Sunday.
