
Condors And Las Vegas Battle For First Place

Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors compiled a 1-2-0-0 week after defeating the Ontario Reign last Wednesday at home, but dropping contests to Utah on King of Pop Tribute Night at Rabobank Arena on Friday and a road game in Ontario on Saturday.
The Condors share first place in the Pacific Division with the Las Vegas Wranglers with an overall record of 4-4-0-0 (8 points). Their upcoming week features three matches against Las Vegas, including games on the road on Thursday and Friday and one contest at home on Saturday.

The Condors scored a season-high eight goals, including five on the power play, while nine players recorded at least two points. C MacGregor Sharp (pictured, right) led the way with three points (1g-2a) and LW Shawn Weller recorded his first two-goal game of the season. G Timo Pielmeier recorded 33 saves to earn his second victory of the season.
Friday, Oct. 30
Utah 6 vs. CONDORS 3
On King of Pop Tribute Night the Utah Grizzlies scored two goals in each period en route to a victory in their first meeting against the Condors. D Sasha Pokulok scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season and RW Dan Sexton recorded his fifth two-point (1g-1a) game of the season, but it was not enough.
Saturday, Oct. 31
ONTARIO 3 vs. Condors 0
G Mike Zacharias recorded his first win of the season, shutting out the Condors with a 33-save effort. The loss dropped the Condors back to .500 for the first time since Oct. 17.
PLAYER AND TEAM NOTES:
G Timo Pielmeier (pictured, right) was named runner-up ECHL Goalie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 25.
RW Dan Sexton is tied for second in league rookie scoring with 11 points (4g-7a).
D Sasha Pokulok is tied for first among ECHL defensemen with five goals.
C MacGregor Sharp, LW Shawn Weller and RW Dan Sexton had season-high three-game scoring streaks snapped on Saturday.
After going 1-for-22 (4.5%) on the power play to start the season, the Condors have gone 6-for-23 (26.1%) in the past three games.
C Maxime Macenauer suffered a leg injury against Utah on Friday and was forced to leave the game. He was placed on the 21-IR and is eligible to return Nov. 20. LW Mathieu Aubin was placed on the 3-IR on and is eligible to return to the lineup for the first game in Las Vegas on Thursday.
ON THE DOCKET:
The Condors complete a three-game series against the Las Vegas Wranglers at home on Saturday, Nov. 7. All fans in attendance will receive a Team Poster, courtesy of ABC23, Hot 93.1 and Digital Designs.
