Salmon Kings' Latendresse Loaned To Moose

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that forward Olivier Latendresse has been loaned to the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL).

The native of LaSalle, Quebec has appeared in all eight Salmon Kings' games this season and is tied for the team lead with five points (2g-3a). He has also registered six minutes in penalties. Latendresse began this season with the Moose playing in one game and collecting two minutes in penalties.

The former Kelly Cup champion has spent the majority of his professional career between the ECHL and AHL. Latendresse has scored 172 points (64g-108a) in 184 career professional games while collecting 153 minutes in penalties. In 22 career professional post-season games he has scored seven goals and assisted on 12 others for 19 points with 30 minutes in penalties.

The 23-year-old spent his entire four-year junior career in the QMJHL with the Val D'Or Foreurs. For his junior career Latendresse played in 246 games amassing 289 points (98g-191a) and 183 minutes in penalties. Latendresse led the Foreurs in scoring in three out of the four years he played for them.

The Salmon Kings roster now sits at 20 players (10 forwards, 8 defensemen, and 2 goaltenders).

The Salmon Kings are in Ontario this weekend to take in a two-game series versus the Reign on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7. Victoria returns to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Center to play the same Ontario team in a three-game set that begins on Wednesday, November 11th with games following on Friday, November 13, and Saturday, November 14.
