NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 23 seasons in the Lowcountry and proud affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL), have claimed forward Casey Thrush off waivers from the Allen Americans, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today.
Thrush, 23, is in his rookie season. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound forward registered three points (one goal, two assists) in 13 contests with the Allen Americans this season. Thrush was signed by Allen on December 26 after skating in the preseason with the Indy Fuel.
