ECHL Player of the Week - Americans forward Chris Crane has been named the Sher-Wood ECHL Player of the Week for the period of January 18th through January 24th. Chris Crane had five goals last week, which included a shorthanded goal and a game winner, along with three assists, to help lead Allen to a 3-0-1-0 record.
Perfect Score - Gary Steffes reached the 100 point mark as an American against Tulsa on Saturday. The forward has now played in 104 games as an American, gaining on his 166 games played with his former club of Tulsa.
Head-To-Head - The Tulsa Oilers lead the season series 6-4. The two teams will meet a total of 15 times during the regular season with 9 of the 15 games at the BOK Center.
Back to Back to Back to Back - The Oilers took the first game of the four-game set this week with a 2-0 victory on Tuesday night at the BOK Center, then the Americans took the Friday contest decidedly 7-1. Tulsa edged Allen 5-2 Saturday night to lead 2-1 for this week's series.
Two and Counting - Chad Costello has now scored in back to back games for the Americans netting his team leading 18th goal of the season in last night's 5-2 loss in Tulsa.
Fantasy Sweaters - Americans players Joel Rumpel and Chad Costello wore the ECHL MeiGray Fantasy sweaters against the Tulsa Oilers Friday night. Joel Rumpel wore the Golden Goalie jersey while Chad Costello wore the Red Fantasy jersey with a special MeiGray logo. Both sweaters will go up for auction in March on www.echl.com.
Oilers Notes - The Tulsa Oilers are led by forward Dan DeSalvo, who has 32 points in 37 games and is a plus 17. Emerson Clark leads the team in goals with 17, and power play goals with 5.
