Stingrays Battle Road Warriors in Preseason Match Tonight

North Charleston, SC -The South Carolina Stingrays travel to the Upstate to battle the Greenville Road Warriors tonight at 7:05 p.m. at the Bi-Lo Center. Listen to all the action live on www.stingrayshockey.com . Tonight is the first ever preseason meeting between the two teams.

The Stingrays drop the puck on their 18th season of hockey in the Low Country on Friday, October 22 against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:35 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Opening Weekend is set for Friday, November 5, Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7 against the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum. Family Reunion Out of the 22 players on the 2010 Stingrays Training Camp roster, 13 dressed for the Stingrays during the 2009-10 campaign.

Stingrays vs. Checkers? Tonight the Stingrays will see five familiar faces in the Road Warriors lineup. Forwards Andrew Carroll, Chris Chappell, Matt Schepke, defensemen T.J. Reynolds and Steve Ward all skated for the Charlotte Checkers during the 2009-10 season. The Stingrays faced the Checkers 11 times last season earning a 5-5-0-1 record.
