ECHL Announces Fines, Suspension

October 12, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release


Kalamazoo's Bryan Jurynec has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in ECHL Pre-Season Game #8, Toledo at Kalamazoo, on Oct. 8.

Jurynec received a slashing major and game misconduct at 14:29 of the second period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Bakersfield's Lizon Fined, Suspended

Bakersfield's Erik Lizon has been suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in ECHL Pre-Season Game #18, Las Vegas at Bakersfield, on Oct. 9.

Lizon was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing at 18:10 of the second period and is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Lizon will miss Bakersfield's game against Las Vegas on Oct. 16.
