Voting for ECHL All-Decade Team Begins
October 12, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Victoria Salmon Kings News Release
Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today in conjunction with the ECHL that voting has begun for the ECHL All-Decade Team.
Celebrating the best players to perform in the ECHL from 2000 - 2010, the ECHL All-Decade Team voting was built through nominations this past September. In order to be eligible for the team, players or coaches must have made a significant impact on the ECHL in the past decade. An individual must have played or coached in parts of at least four seasons from the 2000-01 season through the 2009-10 campaign to be eligible for the All-Decade Team. Also, only those accomplishments, statistics, awards, honours and achievements earned during ECHL play will be accounted for.
Fans can vote for the ECHL All-Decade Team by visiting http://echl.com/echl-all-decade-team-p144165. Voting will be open until 5 p.m. EST on Sunday, October 31. Only one ballot is permitted per e-mail address. Multiple votes by the same e-mail address will disqualify all votes from that address. Fans are eligible to vote for up to six forwards, four defensemen, two goaltenders and one coach.
The ECHL will announce the All-Decade Team in November.
The Salmon Kings open the 2010-11 regular season this Friday, October 15th in Idaho with a two-game set versus the defending National Conference champion Steelheads. Victoria returns home to open up their schedule at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre with a three-game set versus the Ontario Reign beginning Wednesday, October 27th.
