
Stingrays Add Defenseman Jarret Rush

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 20 seasons of hockey in the Lowcountry and proud ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that the team has signed defenseman Jarret Rush. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Rush, 27, appeared in 11 games with the Augusta RiverHawks of the Southern Professional Hockey League this season scoring one goal. The Pennington, New Jersey, native saw ECHL action with the Orlando Solar Bears and Elmira Jackals earlier this season recording no points in five total games. Last season, Rush skated in 33 contests with the Jackals adding two assists. Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot-4, 215-pound defenseman attended Curry College for three seasons.
The Stingrays battle the Greenville Road Warriors today at 4:00 p.m. at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, South Carolina and return to the North Charleston Coliseum on Tuesday, December 11 against the Road Warriors at 7:05 p.m. Grab two tickets for the price of one at the Coliseum Box Office!
