TONIGHT
The Bakersfield Condors open a three-game homestand with their sixth meeting of the season against the Stockton Thunder. This is the first in a string of five consecutive home games for Bakersfield in the season series, who do not venture back up to Stockton until March 17th. The Condors are 1-3-1-0 this season against the Thunder, but won the last meeting in a shootout, 5-4 in Stockton. G Scott Greenham earned his league-leading fourth shootout victory in that contest, denying all three Stockton shooters.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
The Condors had a rare Saturday night off after dropping a 4-2 decision in Ontario on Friday night. Bakersfield trailed 3-0 six minutes into that game, but rallied to make it 3-2 with chances late in the third period, but Ontario would get an insurance goal in the final minute and hung on for the win. C Levi Nelson and F Peter Boyd potted goals for Bakersfield, while G Brian Stewart made 40 saves in the loss.
CONDORS NOTES
D Trevor Hendrikx' fight Friday was his fifth of the season, good for second on the team... D Erik Burgdoerfer fought for the second time this season on Friday and the third time in his career... F Peter Boyd scored his fourth goal of the season on Friday night. He leads the league with five shootout goals which have come on six attempts... D Tyson Gimblett leads all ECHL defensemen with eight major penalties... The Condors five shootout wins leads the league.
