Stepp Called Up to AHL

The Augusta Lynx have lost another of their leading scorers to the American Hockey League, with Joel Stepp being recalled by the Portland Pirates for this weekend's action.

Stepp currently sits second on the team in scoring with 28 points on nine goals and 19 assists in 28 games this season. He set the second-longest team scoring streak mark with points in 11 consecutive games from December 3 through December 22, recording five goals and 17 points.

This is Stepp's third stint in the American Hockey League this year. He has a goal and an assist in 11 games for the Pirates to go with a -1 rating.

The Lynx are back in action Friday night against the Stingrays in South Carolina with a 7:05 face off, followed by an overnight trip to Florida to take on the Everblades at 7:30 pm on Saturday. Augusta's next home game will be Friday, February 10th against the Charlotte Checkers.
