Dayton Bombers News Release

(Dayton, OH) -- Gentlemen start your engines and lace 'em up! That's right; two of the most exciting sports on the planet combine for one night of unbelievable entertainment for the whole family to enjoy at the Ervin J. Nutter Center.

On Friday night February 3, Rusty Wallace, voted one of NASCAR's "50 Greatest Drivers in History," will be making a special appearance at the Dayton Bombers game vs. the Johnstown Chiefs at 7 pm, as part of a special promotion to help raise money for AMBUCS.

AMBUCS is a national service organization composed of a diverse group of men and women who are dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities by providing AmTryke therapeutic tricycles to children with disabilities and scholarships for their therapists.

A $125.00 donation to Ambucs will get local NASCAR fans a gold level Dayton Bombers ticket and a private meet and greet VIP pass with Rusty Wallace in the Nutter Center's Berry Room. (Limited number of VIP passes available on a first come first serve basis.) For those who only purchase a ticket to the game, a donation to Ambucs will be required for an autograph from Rusty Wallace.

All proceeds from a special player warm-up jersey auction, 50/50 sales, autograph signing and Chuck-A-Puck sales will benefit Ambucs as well.

When asked about the event, Bombers President, Costa Papista, stated, "We are thrilled to partner with Ambucs, Greenebucs, and Rusty Wallace to make this NASCAR night a reality. I am personally excited that Ambucs will receive tremendous exposure and awareness as a result of this special event. The local Ambucs chapter is led by terrific people who devote their time, talent and resources to support this extremely worthwhile cause within our community ."

Past National AMBUC President, Sue Eakle is also very excited for the opportunity to join the Dayton Bombers and Rusty Wallace for this special event. "We work "Shoulders Together" to encourage volunteerism in our local Greenebucs Chapter and in our Community. Our driving passion is to touch the lives of children with disabilities by raising money to provide them with the opportunity to be mobile. Our dream is to see every child with a disability have access to an AmTryke."

Tickets are available at all Miami Valley Kroger stores, Ticketmaster.com or at the Nutter Center box office. For more details, contact the Dayton Bombers office at 937-775-4747.
