Campbell to replace Pelletier on American Conference All Star Roster

The ECHL announced today that Gladiators forward Jeff Campbell has been named to the American Conference squad for the 2006 ECHL All Star Game replacing Pascal Pelletier, who is currently on recall to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

In his second professional season, Campbell will be making his second consecutive trip to the ECHL All Star Game as he represented the Gladiators in the 2005 All Star Game in Reading, Pennsylvania. Campbell posted an assist for the American Conference in the 6-2 loss last season.

Campbell currently leads the Gladiators in scoring with 44 points off of 17 goals and 27 assists in 36 games this season for the Gladiators. His plus 18, plus/minus ranking, leads the Gladiators in that category.

The Hensall, Ontario native needs three goals for 50 in his Gladiators career while he posted his 100th career ECHL point in the Gladiators 2-1 win over the Greenville Grrrowl on December 10th.

Campbell finished his rookie season ranking second in scoring on the Gladiators with 63 points while he shared first in goals scored with 30.

Selected for the first time, Pelletier will miss the All Star Game while on recall with Providence of the American Hockey League. In 16 games with the Bruins, Pelletier has posted 4 goals and 7 assists for 11 points.
