Saviano heads back to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush, along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Steve Saviano has been called up to the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League.

Saviano, 24, returns to the Lock Monsters for the second time this season. After beginning the season by scoring five goals and nine assists in nine games with the Everblades, Saviano was called up to Lowell on November 22 where he collected two assists in 16 AHL games.

Saviano was reassigned to the Everblades on January 3, and has since tallied five goals and 12 assists in eight games. During his most recent stint with the Everblades, the former University of New Hampshire product earned ECHL Player of the Week honors for notching ten points in three games during the week of Jan. 1 - 8. Overall with the Everblades, Saviano has tallied 31 points (10g, 21a) in 17 games. In his two season as a pro, Saviano has earned 87 points in 96 career games between Florida and Lowell.

The Everblades return to action on Tuesday, January 10 when they take on the Fresno Falcons at 10:00 p.m. from the Save Mart Centre in Fresno, CA. Everblades half season, group tickets, and individual game tickets are on sale now!
