Fulghum Reassigned and Cunningham Signs Contract

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that forward Luke Fulghum has been reassigned to the Ice Pilots from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League and forward Bobby Cunningham has signed a contract with the Ice Pilots. The Ice Pilots also have suspended forward Jonathan Lehun and defenseman Nick Vukovic.

Fulghum played in 15 games with the Toronto Marlies this season scoring three goals, one assist for four points picking up 15 penalty minutes and has played in 23 games for the Ice Pilots this year scoring 8 goals, 14 assists for 22 points picking up 22 penalty minutes. He will represent the Ice Pilots in the Bud Light/ECHL All Star game next week in Fresno, California.

Cunningham, who stands 6'3" and weighs 215 pounds, played in 13 games this season with Laval of the Quebec Senior League scoring 10 goals, 11 assists for 21 points picking up 6 penalty minutes. He played in 7 games last year with Mississippi of the ECHL picking up 2 assists and 8 penalty minutes before joining Laval.

Cunningham has also played for Greenville, Texas and Mobile in the ECHL, Anchorage and Tucson in the WCHL, Elmira, Mohawk Valley, Muskegon, Adirondack and Saginaw/Ohio in the UHL and Fort Worth and Memphis in the CHL.

Cunningham, who is 30 years old, was born in Delson, Quebec and shoots left.

Lehun has been suspended for leaving the team to pursue his college education and Vukovic has been suspended for not reporting to the team. Lehun has played in two games with the Ice Pilots this season picking up two penalty minutes and has played in 33 games overall scoring 11 goals, 20 assists for 31 points picking up 10 penalty minutes.

Vukovic has played in 32 games with the Florida Everblades this season scoring 5 goals, 7 assists for 12 points picking up 47 penalty minut es.

The Ice Pilots will end their eight game road trip tomorrow night at Florida at 6:30 p.m. central time. Fans can listen to the game on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network beginning with the pre game show at 6:15 p.m. with flagship radio station AM 1620 and at www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. The game is also available as a pay per view webcast at www.icepilots.com in conjunction with B2 Networks for $6.

The Ice Pilots will return home this Saturday night to host the Gwinnett Gladiators at the Pensacola Civic Center at 7:05 p.m. Nemours Children's Clinic will sponsor a baby crawl contest during the intermission and a post game autograph session with the entire team will take place.
