
Steelheads Suspend Forward Chris Marinucci

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads announced today they have suspended forward Chris Marinucci from the team. Marinucci has signed a contract to play out the rest of the season in Europe.
Marinucci, 32, played in 12 games with Idaho this season, tallying 13 points (5 goals, 3 assists). During the 2002-03 season, he played in 26 games before leaving to play in Bjorkloven, Sweden.
The former Hobey-Baker winner was drafted by the New York Islanders in Round as the 90th pick overall. He played a total of 13 games in the National Hockey League (12 with the Islanders and one with the Los Angeles Kings), scoring one goal and four assists.
