
Texas' Snowden Named C&T Hockey Products ECHL Plus Performer of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Texas rookie center John Snowden is C&T Hockey
Products ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for November.
In his first professional season, Snowden was +12 in November and has been
plus or even in 15 consecutive games dating back to October 23 at
Greensboro. Snowden scored 12 points in November, including a team-high
eight goals, in 12 games. He was +3 in one game, +2 in three games and +1
in three games while finishing even in the other five games as Texas went
4-7-1.
The 21-year-old Snowden, who had one point and was -3 at the beginning of
November, leads the Wildcatters in plus-minus with +9 and was tied for the
team lead with one game-winning goal. The 6-0 and 200-pound Snowden ranks
second on the team with eight goals and fourth in scoring with 13 points
(8g-5a) while playing in all of Texas' 19 games.
Born in Snohomish, Washington, Snowden played in the United States Hockey
League for three seasons with the Lincoln Stars, and also played one season
with the U.S. Junior National Team, scoring four points (2g-2a) in 20 games
in 1999-2000.
In 2002-03 with Lincoln, Snowden tied for 12th in the USHL with nine
power-play goals, ranked 17th with 23 goals and was 18th in scoring with 49
points. He helped Lincoln capture the 2003 USHL Championship ranking second
in assists with eight and fourth in scoring with 11 points in 10 games. He
also played in the 2003 USHL Prospects All-Star Game scoring the only goal
for Team World.
In three seasons with Lincoln, Snowden scored 143 points (79g-64a) in 167
regular season games and nine points (5g-4a) in 15 playoff games. As a
member of the USA Hockey National Development Team Program, Snowden was a
member of the 2002 USA Hockey Junior Select Team that went 3-2-0 at the
Viking Cup in Camrose, Alberta, Canada.
