South Carolina Stingrays News Release


NORTH CHARLESTON, SC The South Carolina Stingrays will be participating in the first ever MUSC "Coast-A-Thon" to benefit the MUSC Children's Hospital tomorrow afternoon from 12-4. The Stingrays will answer telephones in the lobby of the Children's Hospital, in downtown Charleston, on Ashley Avenue, along with on air talent from Coast 92.5 FM.

The "Coast-A-Thon" will give the residents of the Lowcountry a chance to help raise money for the MUSC Children's Hospital while hearing moving stories and firsthand accounts from families and children who have been touched by this wonderful institution.

All fans have to do is listen and donate, plus help spread the word and raise money for a children's hospital recognized as one of the finest in America, where miracles happen everyday!

Stingrays fans and media are welcome to come down to the Hospital to meet their favorite player and help a very worthwhile cause.

The Stingrays will be on the road Friday to take on the Florence Pride, before returning to the Coliseum on Saturday night to host the Gwinnett Gladiators. Saturday night is "Teddy Bear Toss" night. Fans are encouraged to throw a stuffed toy onto the ice immediately following the Rays first goal against the Gladiators. All the toys will be donated to Debbie's Kids.
